Presentation: “Blast Resistance”
The presentation will address who is requiring blast design, the nature and characteristics of blast loads, and vulnerabilities and reactions of structures.
Features of buildings which favorably or unfavorably mitigate blast loading will be discussed.
Blast resistance is seen to mitigate terror threats, but is also applicable to facilities designs of control rooms, hazard areas, emergency operating centers and the like.

Structural Design Engineering/Project Consulting
Mr. Landau has over a decade of blast load design experience for DOD and similar projects, as well as security design within client project specifications.
His current focus is on protection of people and property, rather than traditional design tasks.
Jim is a member of the Maine ASIS Chapter.
